Low temperatures have dried out the snow, the trails are in excellent condition. Sunshine in the forecast for this weekend with not a cloud in the sky right now! Also, on Sunday February 12th, Ski for Life, in Partnership with the Township of Algonquin Highlands is offering Cross Country Ski Lessons. The basic skills of this great winter sport for newcomers or a refinement of skills for long time skiers will be covered. ALL EQUIPMENT PROVIDED. Certified instruction by Dan Mahony - CANSI Level One instructor. Lessons are recreationally based, gradually paced and will take advantage of the new beginner-friendly Sawmill Trail at the Frost Centre. DATE: SUN February 12, 2012 TIME: Noon to 3:00 pm COST: Adults $25, Youth $15 (covers Instruction and use of equipment) Frost Centre Trail Fees are extra: Adults $9.00 plus H.S.T.. Seniors $7.00 plus H.S.T. Youth (6-17) $3.50 plus H.S.T. Rentals also available on location at the Township of Algonquin Highlands Trails Department office.
